While our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy, we've been compelled by the stories of displaced college students - just like us - whose lives and educations are being turned upside down.
We encourage you to refer any affected college students to this link, which outlines the University's broad humanitarian efforts, including scholarship offers and automatic admission.
As a group, efforts are underway to organize a multi-group, non-partisan fundraising/clothing drive/etc. on the UI campus. Please stay tuned for more information, as more clubs are contacted and plans are finalized. If you are interested in obtaining more information directly, or would like to work with the College Republicans on this issue, please contact acting president Laurel Zimmer at (208) 301-3267.We would also like to share the text of a letter sent out by Louisana Federation of College Republicans Chairman, Keith Gates, to CR state chairs across the nation.
